It was a brisk fall day but the action inside was hot at the Fall for ET Colors Sale. Brothers Three HP Willow-ET topped the sale at $18,100. She was consigned with our partners Mike and Linda Hellenbrand and sold to Elite Dairy in New York. A Legacy sister to Willow, Brothers Three Waunita, was the purchase of the Uglow family from Watertown, Wis. Thanks to both for their trust in our breeding and best of luck with their purchases.
After that, the day wasn't over. I & M Ch Zeus Paula, a Zoldo Zeus daughter of a VG-89 Dynasty daughter of Party was our purchase. We look forward to getting back into the Party business once again! |

10/08: A day of dreams at World Dairy Expo |

World Dairy Expo 2008 was a memorable, unbelievable day for our Brothers Three show string and included three 1st place ribbons and Reserve Intermediate Champion honors.
Starting the show off with a bang was Brothers Three HP Willow-ET, who topped the Spring Calf class. Willow is a Premium daughter of Wisper owned with City Slickers, LLC.
Brothers Three Wisp continued her winning ways following victories at the Kentucky State Fair and the All-American Dairy Show by topping a very tough Junior 2-year old class. Wisp is a Legacy daughter of Brothers Three Witney, the EX-90 Premium daughter of Wisper. She is owned in partnership with KY-Bluegrass Genetics.
Brothers Three Worthy turned heads and made her own mark on the show. After topping the Kingsmill Futurity class, Worthy stood 2nd behind Hillbilly in the Senior 3-year old class. She is owned in partnership with Topp View Brown Swiss.
One of our most satisfying accomplishments came in the Best Three Females class. Wisp and Worthy were joined by Brothers Three Brandi in a group that Judge Sliker selected as his top group. Brandi, a Dynasty daughter of Top Acres Banker Bali, had earlier stood 2nd in the Junior 2-year old class.
Finally, Worthy ended the day by being named Reserve Intermediate Champion of the show. What a day at Madison!! |

Brothers Three Wisp, pictured to the left at the front of the group Judge Chris Lahmers pulled out for his selection for Intermediate Champion, was named Honorable Mention behind well known names Lil Fern and Suki.
Wisp is no stranger to the show ring at Harrisburg, having placed 4th in the Spring Calf class in 2006. She is a Legacy daughter of Witney, an Excellent Premium daughter of Wisper. Wisp is owned with Kentucky Bluegrass. |

7/08: Lil Fern grows up in a big way!! |

There are days that you dream of and then there days where even your dreams aren't big enough to imagine what happened. The Ohio National Sale proved to be one of the second for ourselves and business partner Ryan Olson from Ole Acres.
Round Hill Prem Lil Fern topped the sale at $43,000 and will be joining the phenomenal group of cows at Elite Dairy in Copake, N.Y. A purchase in the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Calf Sale as the last daughter of Brook Run Jetway Fern EX-93, Lil Fern grew from an end of October calf into a outstanding 2-year old ready to handle major competition later this year.
Our thanks goes out to the outstanding care of the Olson family and always expert marketing from Modern Associates for this amazing day in Lima, Ohio. |

Brandi is a Dynasty daughter of Top Acres Banker Bali EX-92 (pictured left) and sold due in a month to Random Luck T Lee.

2/08: Major changes for B3 . . . |
February 5 was the beginning of major changes for Brothers Three. On that cool winter morning, 26 head, including the majority of our milking cow herd was sold to Vine Valley Farm in New York. Negotiations had been going on for some time before the sale. Housing had become a major challenge once the partners in Eaglewing Dairy decided to disperse their Holstein herd. Temporary housing for the cows was found at Woodbine Farms but a longer term solution never developed and the decision to sell was the right choice.
We wish the Buttons family the best of luck with their purchase and promise that a lot of heart has been poured into those girls. |

1/08: Bounty heads to Sunshine . . . |
Front Line Pronto Bounty (left) was the star of a group of heifers that we purchased over the past few years. Calving a second time this summer, Bounty has consistently produced 95+ pounds of milk and been a fixture on the Brown Swiss PPR list. A contract written by Genex only added to our hopes in this young cow.
Earlier this month, we reached an agreement to sell her to Sunshine Genetics, Whitewater, Wis. We share their excitement in her future and wish the Docs nothing but the best of luck with Bounty.
