A return trip to the Wisconsin Ayrshire State Show proved to be successful yet again for Casey and Yellow Briar BBBK Pamela-ET. Pam took first place in the Winter Yearling class and earned her second straight All-Wisconsin honors.
Pam's been under the care of Ryan Olson and has developed into a big, growthy yearling with a deep rib. She's headed to the Watertown, Wis. area farm of Josey Morris to get ready for a return trip to Madison for World Dairy Expo.
We think she still has a great future yet this fall! |

We've brought Sexy Back!! The sexy as in Cutting Edge S Sexy Fern, Lot 37 from the National Sale in Maryland who was our big purchase of the day.
Sexy is a Supreme daughter of Round Hill Prem Lil Fern EX-91, the Res AA Sr. 2-year-old in 2008 and high seller at that summer's National Sale. Lil Fern remains the highest selling female ever at a National Convention sale.
Sexy is owned again with Ryan and Kara Olson, where she will be housed, as well as Steve Firestone. We bought Sexy at the same fairgrounds as our original purchase of Lil Fern. Good sign? We think so! |

Congratulations and thanks to Bradner Farms on their purchase of Brothers Three HP Wisdom (Vigor x Top Acres Peerless Willow), our consignment to the National Convention Sale.
Wisdom was a Summer Yearling we consigned in partnership with City Slickers, LLC. Though she was small from the start, she had the right cut that we've come to expect from the Top Acres "W" family.
Best of luck to the Donaldsons with Wisdom. We hope she develops well for you! |

Congratulations to our good friends and business partners at Horseshoe Hill on the All-American Nomination of Brothers Three Wanita. A Legacy daughter of Wisper, Wanita stood fifth in the Junior 3-year old class at World Dairy Expo less than one month fresh.
Wanita now makes three daughters of Wisper that have been Nomindated All-American, all by three different sires. She's fast becoming one of the best brood cows in the breed and Wanita is just one of the many daughters of hers we're anxious to see continue to develop. |

World Dairy Expo was a crowning achievement for Casey and our Ayrshire calf, Yellow Briar BBBK Pamela-ET. Marking the first time Casey wore her whites into the Coliseum to show at Madison, Pamela stood 5th in a deep class of winter calves. A successful showing in the big show! We're excited to see how she develops for 2011.
In the Swiss show, our only entry was Brothers Three Worthy in the very tough 5-year-old class. Despite not feeling her best all week, Worthy stood 8th in a class that also included the show's Grand Champion. Other B3 bred entries stood well in their classes including two top six finishes. Congratulations to the winners at Expo! |

Brothers Three Worthy made her return to the show ring for 2010 at the Ohio State Fair and made it in grand style! Judge Norm Magnussen named her his winning 5-year-old and Grand Champion of a deep and competitive show that featured four reigning or former All-American cows and several more who've been Nominated.
Worthy is pictured to the left with Eric Topp from Topp-View, our partners on Worthy, on the strap. She's pictured with the Reserve Champion Forest Lawn Whistler Molly.
Look for Worthy at World Dairy Expo 2010! |

That's Jo-Dee Wondermnt Nitty Gritty-ET on the left, a January 2010 Top Acres Wonderment daughter of the 2007 Expo Champion Valligrove Jetway Nora. Gritty became a purchase of ours at the Oregon Main Event Sale in partnership with fellow Wisconsin Brown Swiss breeders Ole Acres and Horseshoe Hill. We're pleased with our continued partnership with each.
With the phenomenal success Nora has been transmitting, we're excited to begin working with this up and coming cow family. Thanks to Allan Hanselmann for contacting us about Gritty and special thanks to Jodi Coppini who's been housing Gritty for us until Madison. We're excited to get her home! |

The race is over and Brothers Three Wisp is the Kentucky National Stakes Winner. Wisp topped the National Brown Swiss Sale at $37,000 selling to Elite Dairy, Copake, N.Y. Contending bidder was Bradner Farms, Canada.
Wisp hails from our leading Wisper family being a granddaughter via an EX-90 Premium of the 2x All-American Brothers Three Wisper. She sold due in August to Prelude Zeus and ready for another tanbark trail run this fall.
Our sale topper was jointly consigned with Kentucky Bluegrass Genetics and we owe them many thanks for their expert care and development of Wisp. Jeff and Lisa Gibson took a liking to her as a gangly spring yearling at the NAILE show and developed her into a national level show cow who's undefeated in milking form. Our thanks also goes out to the sales team, bidders, and other friends who offered their congratulations on her sale. We look forward to seeing Wisp out and about this fall under the Elite Dairy banner! |
